Update:
February 19, 2012
- Chats: removed large gap between last chat line and bottom of chat history
- Group chat: rearranged voice controls, fixed friends list outlines that looked broken
- Overlay: Clock and Game title are closer to screen edges, accomodates long game titles on widescreen displays
- Chat, Friends List: removed subtle gradients, they looked ugly on the overlay
- Misc: various alignment and minor graphic tweaks

January 30 - February 10, 2012
- Settings: Fixed some text that was being cut off
- Library: added Steam Workshop info to game details
- Library: changed views buttons to glow white when selected and blue background when hover
- Library: added E-Mail verification message
- Library: changed text colour of highlighted uninstalled games, more legible
- Friends List, Games List: gradients at top and bottom of lists
- Friends List: fixed friend hover highlight in No-Avatar view
- Friends related windows: added blue background to dropdown arrow [from grey]
- Chat: added gradients to top and bottom, fixed bug where text would appear outside chat box by a few pixels
- Chat: rearranged voice chat controls, looks better now
- Gift Notification: fixed unwanted white glow behind image [now pure orange]
- Console: size tweaked to take advantage of available space
- changed links to be white when you hover over them

January 13, 2012
- Main window: Added Inventory, Gifting, Invite inbox
- Gifting related popups tweaked
- Achievements popups edited to display achievement names longer than one line
- Main window: Removed "View Friends" [click count of online friends for same function]
- HTML search box colours tweaked
- Screenshot window: tweaked to look nicer

About: I find the default skin dull, lacking in contrast, and it simply doesn't fit with the new look and feel of the Steam store and forums which were updated at the same time.

With the Steam store as inspiration to maintain a unified look. It started with the buttons from the Steam store and grew from there with some personal touches. I find the result very satisfying. I hope you do, too.

There's a little buggy thing due to lastest steam updates. They added a little text whereabouts the Community so this doesn't look good.

Hey Savage,

I came across your skin here on devArt last night. I thought I knew the name Savage Alien from somewhere, I just didn't realise it was from Savvy UI! It's nice to see one of the first skins for the 2010 UI still being maintained after all this time :) Keep it up.
